So how did you figure out the jet? They let you take a crj up for 100 hours with no pax until you "figured it out" and suddenly became safe? Every person in IOE is "figuring it out" after 30-40 hours of sims for the first 25-50 hours on the line. A lot of that "airline" stuff can't be replicated anywhere else. You "figure it out" enough to be safe in the sim. It's not like this is a single pilot operation either.

I bet pax on anyone's first IOE trip wouldn't be happy if they knew the first time pilot X was going to takeoff and land that jet was with them in the back. But it happens. Every day.

MPL will fix this issue, as the candidate will primarily train only in the airliner that he will fly in the real world. No worries about transitioning from a seminole to an RJ.

good i need someone to keep an eye on the flight attendant flying the airplane when i go to the bathhroom.

Sorry, but you do sound like management. Anyone who stays at Eagle is hopes of maybe getting a retention bonus is living in a dream. I'm not saying go to another scumbag regional, but if anyone has an opportunity to move up/out, I would definitely recommend doing so. I'm trying to move up/out, like most everyone I know, especially Eagle FOs.
