Ok, here's a question: If AA does start pulling in classes to meet 800 hires for the year, when would this start? And what would prevent Envoy from withholding pilots from meeting 50% of that number due to being currently ahead on the flow?
By the end of the year the total have to be 50% regardless. Once they are done with the 824 it's metered 20 a month or 35%. When the last E-175 from the 40 get here, then it goes up to 50% or 30 a month. Now, it seems that the 40th airplane will be here couple of months after the last 824 pilot leave Envoy. So it should be 30 a month or 50% until the last pilot hired in Oct 10, 2011. After that group I lost count how it works. Just remember that 10/11/2011 pilot it's about 1800 in seniority out of 2000 pilots. So, it should keep moving steadily for a couple of years. Also remember that the 824 and protected pilot group are awards from arbitration. It's not contractual like the other 2 groups from Envoy, PSA and PDT, which can be modified in the future. |

Well, they can meter down to 30 a month if they start pulling classes of more than 60 in AA.

The protected pilots is not an arbitration award, it was a settlement.

Lots of "if's", but let's see what we get.
20/mo until November. 30/mo November to January, but we know it's likely going to stay at 20. And the training center usually slows to a crawl over the holidays, so throw December out. Let's say 25/mo when AA starts picking up hiring for next year (if 800 projected, flow number conservative/arbitrarily chosen number) 60 by end of this year. 25 a month for next year is 300. I don't know how many of the 824 are left, so I can't guess when it goes back to 20/mo or 35% but I think it should happen by the end of 2016. |
AA HR is now saying 800 new hires next year, 400 envoy flows, no class in December(2015).

It's what I've been trying to tell people for months now. Get into Envoy before the flood gates open and be ahead of the game. |

They usually close up shop or use December for catch-up, so I'd believe no classes at all.
