Flow keeps getting longer and longer

Envoy stops flows to AA for rest of 2015.

From the desk of Alex Sidie:*

We have a pool of pilots from which to fill this year's classes. We will pull another list sometime prior to the end of the year for classes starting next year.

2.5 and 5.5 though!

Buzzlightyear 09-08-2015 06:08 PM

To me that sounds like no more guys entering the pool not no more flows for the rest of the year. My opinion.

FlameNSky 09-08-2015 06:29 PM

Not a week ago, that is exactly what they said. No additional pilots selected for the pool because they already have all the numbers to fill the rest of the year. The flows are not stopping, just no more selections until the pool of FT drains.

I suppose time will tell. I wager to bet that if he is wrong, Spreadeagle, will not retract his The National Enquirer style post.

Did they meet the required about of flows for the year?

AdiosMikeFox 09-08-2015 07:44 PM

AFAIK.

They've exceeded the minimum number of pilots required for the agreement, however they haven't flowed yet. So even if they stop selecting more pilots, they have met their requirements.

It also means that anybody close to flowing can push back their departure date by another 3 months.

Misleading. Flows are not stopping for the rest of the year.

There is a pool of pilots to fill THIS YEAR'S classes. The pool doesn't matter. Folks getting seats in the class is what matters.

This concept seems to confuse people. They could select the rest of the 824 today and put them in the pool, but it wouldn't matter until they set foot in class. Selection is selection. Class dates are class dates. Huge difference.

^^^^

Absolutely this. They can say they've selected or "flowed" X number of people. Until those butts are in AA indoc class seats the numbers are meaningless.

Not if they are issued seniority numbers. That might happen in the future with the flow.

AdiosMikeFox 09-09-2015 07:39 AM

"Might"

When it happens, that will be another discussion. Until then it's meaningless.

And the flow MIGHT just keep working as advertised until then talking about it is meaningless.
