Don't you know? They need the overage to staff seats left after all those pilots flow! (at 20 a month or less)
I don't know. We're overstaffed and I constantly drop airplanes off to sit for 12+ hours at a non-maintenance RON. Waste of an airframe. We can sure use those hours to get higher line values instead of 11 days off and only 65 hours flight time. Good Luck! |

Yea, you can certainly call that a "wild ass prediction".

But once again be careful for what you wish for. All such a scenario would mean is that AA would not only get no growth, but large segments of present domestic (all S80) and even some international would go to the new "Envoy" (or whatever the name) flying E-190's that could cover a lot of present AA flying (up to code share limits, of course). But, that would also mean the flow would come to a dead stop for years as Envoy (or whomever) ramped up and we shrink, sooooooo........ ....yes, you got your shiny E-190's..........but you're still flying for regional wages, working conditions and will be for many years to come. Personally, I think that would be a disappointing scenario for most with AA aspirations as true income would remain elusive. Not only that, I could see a lot of animosity between that carriers pilots and AA pilots even though it wouldn't be the "new" regional (or national, if you like that title, which Envoy already is or at least was) pilots fault. God, so many of you have lost your minds and are now willing to do anything to move yourselves ahead regardless of the damage to the industry or even yourselves in the long run. Simply pathetic. |

Actually not that far fetched. Our CBA has provisions for "code sharing" that could result in something like that occurring with the right methodology. AA pilots would go bat****, but not likely to stop it if Parker really wants it. Of course, it would be akin to declaring war on AA pilots and AA would regress to hopeless acrimony again, but Parker may not care as his claim of "changing the culture" was just convenient B.S. to get his nose into the Centreport tentflap.

It's funny how when people disagree with you, you immediately call them sales men and that no one must be allowed to disagree with them. You also claim we have all lost our mind yet when someone says the same to you, you call them sales men. See the loop?
Oh and here are a few smilies :rolleyes: Good Luck! |

I couldn't pass up this gem, though. What's that old adage about thinking you're surrounded by idiots.... Ah, well. I don't think eaglefly is capable of that level of introspection and self awareness. |

If the shoe fits, you must wear it. ;) |
