If we want to retain pilots and not have to hire/train pilots, we need to stop spinning our wheels with stupid things like "not following the contract".

Exactly. What else to you expect from a company plagued with inefficiency? They have to violate the contract to make up for what they lack.

JM's would not be nearly as bad if schedules were built with 3 days off between sequences. When they cause you to be gone half the month with one 30 hour stretch at home it will have negative reprocussions on your home life.

Done venting, now back to updating my resume

A few pages back someone told us new guys the DECS entry for a bid preference change. I entered the 3P and 3D entry, but I keep getting the same message, "No standing bid list changes allowed at this time." I was told that the bid preference could be entered while still in training. I'm trying to put in my transfer from ORD to DFW so my commute from OKC won't be as bad. Does it need to be entered when the bid period is open or can it be entered at anytime?

Thanks

I remember when I was a NH that some people were able to change their bids right away and some weren't. I'm not sure why but I was one of the ones where I couldn't input a bid. I didn't look at it again until a bid came out. I would contact your CP in ORD or the training manager and see if they can help you out.

To answer your question though you can change your bid anytime you want to.

I don't know if anyone can input 3D 3P right now. Either way it doesn't matter until there is another vacancy bid run.
