If that were the case then why is American transferring Envoy's 700s to PSA? The 700 is no more a common type than the 145 and 175. It's pretty clear that AAG wants to streamline the WOs with one aircraft type per certificate.

Yes. So why are they paying the management, training department, and all of the other expenses of 2 airlines to fly the same 50 seat jet? Why are they not spinning down PDT and just rolling them into Envoy?

Really guys? Aren't we all in pretty good shape at this point? Worry about your own situation. Piedmont is just fine.

Um just to make it clear he isn't an Envoy pilot. Yes you are going to be just fine. But, to be fair they aren't the only ones making things up. We Envoy pilots give a very realistic projection of flow time while PDT over states their five year flow Ponzi scheme. Pretty soon pilots are going to realize that the fast flow to AA is a pipe dream for all WO.

But to answer your last question yes we are all doing just fine. And just a heads up da old man likes to toss out passive aggressive questions around to all regionals.

Because there are still benefits (though deminished) of keeping the certificates separate. Envoy seems to still be getting wound down. The 700s are being sent to PSA and the 145s to Piedmont. Maybe Envoy gets more 175s, maybe they don't. Who knows at this point what the plan is. I do know that the non-WOs will slowly have their Eagle branded flying reduced and that flying will shift to the WOs. I think TSA's 145 flying will end up at Piedmont and eventually Republic's 175 flying at Envoy and perhaps some of Mesa's 900s at PSA.

He isn't one of ours! (At least I don't think that he is). I am guessing either former WO pilot of some sort, or a riddle kid on his computer.

I got the impression he did from his post. DaOldMan who do you fly for?

He likes to bash PDT quite a bit.

You know it is true. Unless you start really hiring pilots, and Envoy stops hiring pilots, the 145's are going to stay at Envoy.

If Envoy were really going to shrink and lose the 145's, then why are they hiring so many pilots? They should be slowing hiring if they are shrinking, not increasing it.

The 145s are staying at Envoy for awhile. Fleet plan shows around 100 or more 145s staying until 2020+.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, daOldMan shows up and throws out some absolute garbage idea, but phrases it as a question. Usually gets called on it, and doesn't show back up for a couple days when his steaming pile of garbage post is already buried.

But to those saying that the 145s are staying at Envoy, what say you about the ones PDT is taking delivery of every month? We are all literally watching planes doing the exact opposite of what you're saying. I believe contractually, the next 20 (maybe 40?) ejets AA gets delivered have to go to Envoy. I think it would make sense to offload some 145s and take delivery of new ejects, no? Regardless, none of the WO are in bad shape, contrary to the steaming pile of garbage that is daOldMan

It is pretty easy to see what is going on. They are seeing other Reginals winding down and unable to meet their contractual obligations so they are offering huge bonuses so AA will have constant supply to their regional feed. .

It is a solution to a problem they aren't paying out the bonus because they want to.

They will never fold the WO into one because we are all union and this would give the pilots too much power.

It is cheaper to streamline the WO which you see going on now. Every WO class will be full from now on with new people coming in and smart pilots who are transferring from dying regionals to put them in position to get hired at a major who are retiring pilots by the THOUSANDS in the next few years. You already see it in PSA who have more pilots leaving for majors than flow transfers.
