What's the fleet plan for PDT? How many 145's are they getting?

At the end of 2017, we will have 31 ERJ145s, 4-6 DHC8-100s, and all of our DHC8-300s. Jet deliveries will continue in 2018 at 2-3/month and the remaining 100s will be retired. Don't know when the 300s will be retired.

20-40. It works for me right now, if the 200% goes away then this doesn't work. Just a way of getting by right now with a decent QOL/Paycheck when 4 on 2 off is the norm for someone whos seniority can't hold a line with more than 11-12 days off. I don't get much per diem but that sure beats two days off between 4 day trips.

The number they are throwing around in CLT is 80 140s/145s. The official word is "as many as we can possibly staff."

I think you are going to need to hire a lot more than you are now to get to 80 jets.

Envoy hired what...about 90 this month?!?! You hired 20?

I think that shows where the jets are going to stay.

Piedmont also has to train all current Dash pilots on the E145, so it's controlled growth. I continue to wonder why the envoy pilots (recruiters?) feel the need to trash other WOs and make crap up. Really guys? Aren't we all in pretty good shape at this point? Worry about your own situation. Piedmont is just fine.

90 new hires out of 1900 total Pilot is how many % ? And what's 25 out of 490?

Let's just agree that all WOs have their pros and cons.

Merry Xmas

You're just going to confuse the old man now.

You know it is true. Unless you start really hiring pilots, and Envoy stops hiring pilots, the 145's are going to stay at Envoy.

If Envoy were really going to shrink and lose the 145's, then why are they hiring so many pilots? They should be slowing hiring if they are shrinking, not increasing it.

You know you don't just flip a switch and suddenly have the infrastructure in place to quadruple hiring overnight, right?

If that were the case then why is American transferring Envoy's 700s to PSA? The 700 is no more a common type than the 145 and 175. It's pretty clear that AAG wants to streamline the WOs with one aircraft type per certificate.
