More Likely DAL that DFW. Heard during a pitch from a Skywest recruiter. Something to do with Skywest's routes for Alaska, which owns Virgin, which has gates at DAL.

Have you even read any of the Envoy threads? You would know the answer. And you would also know if that’s where you want to be you would be better to be there with another company besides Envoy.

If people took the time to read they'd see it's been answered multiple times. I'm all for helping new people, but boy oh boy. I cringe sometimes. I'd rather see more questions from FNGs about Pay,Qol,Flow than. "How do I drop a trip?" Well first off buddy, good luck with that 😂😂😂 |

Preference bidding
What does it mean “no standing bid list changes allowed at this time”?

When attempting to process a tease via QuickTrade, I get a response “B-UNABLE TO PROCESS DFPS”. What is DFPS?

So the one month I bid reserve on purpose we have 91 EMJ145 hard lines in Dfw and 64 in Ord. Can someone explain why there are 120 FOs on reserve in ORD versus only 35 is DFW? Does the universe really hate me that much?

They might be prepping the next vacancy bid right now. You may have to try again once the bid is posted.

You've been Envoyed. But what you need to do is see how many bid for the current month, and use the Flow Plan to see how many will be going to training, and look at the reserve list to see how many have finished training or transferred in for the month. Then compare that number to the number of lines for the following month and you'll have the number of reserves for the month.

Crazy that most days in ORD this month there are more fo reserves available than there are lines.

Ha you’ve been enjoyed. Here have some more of my flow coolaide. Reserve is only getting longer and so far there hasn’t been an increase in hard lines in ORD. Curious to see what March has to offer. At least there is still sizable movement for FOs, ie Capt upgrades. If upgrades slow down then expect reserve to start approaching 8 months+. I don’t think we will ever see 2yr reserve again, but 1yr+ as a commuter is not fun.
Further proof the pilot shortage does not exist. When this regional airline has to “meter” its new hire classes due to having too many new hires at a time when their is supposedly a “Shortage of Pilots.” This is the story many regional airlines CEOs, and the trade group they pay millions into (Regional Airline Association-RAA), are telling Congress, and the media, the American public. We are proving to the U.S CONGRESS, RAA, the American people, and the families of Colgan 3409 that their is no “Pilot Shortage” and also that the Current regulation (1500hr rule) is working just fine and not harming regional carriers “ability” to hire new FOs. Seems clear as day that it’s been a pay shortage, not a “pilot shortage. It’s not a shortage if your staffing for growth! It’s a shortage if you can’t staff to be in the black (profitability). We are profitable, more profitable than any other growth period in history. So much So staffed NH classes are being cut back for further profitability and getting higher qualified candidates on board. Am I wrong? We currently have a lack of people qualified to be Captains and people wanting to be Captains at Envoy (shortage). Same principle applies. Increase the pay spread given to FOs in a proportionate way to CA’s at Envoy. “HAV-FO’s” recent increases/pay bump/bonus of $45K is much more than any well deserving CA is getting in return for their many years of service to keep this ship afloat! Turn the $45K into hourly rate increases for CA’s on property.... I promise you their will be no shortage of CA’s , and no shortage of new hires at Envoy or coming to Envoy, and no need for Forced Upgrades which is DESTROYING MORAL, and possibly FAMILIES in its wake. |

New Hire Class Dates
I know schedules were changed up due to the holidays.
Can anyone confirm what date the most recent new-hire class started, and if they will be scheduled every two weeks thereafter? Thanks. |

Just finished IOE and was assigned reserve days. First airline job, could someone point me to a guide to understand what I need to do?

Did you ask your check airmen? They will provide you with a ton of information. You will also have an IN day (meet the chief pilot or his assistants) they will go over everything and answer any questions you may have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

First and foremost, download and set up the QuickTrade app. You need to start proffering for reserve assignments unless you want the company to just assign you. Next, each day when the proffering assignments come out, you need to call scheduling and confirm your next day assignment. Finally, embrace the the crew room, you’re going to be living there for a bit. |

Welcome aboard! Read the first page of the February Bid packet for your aircraft. Only 1 copy (not to be removed from the crew room). Useful information on it about proffering, windows, RAPs Standby, etc. and how to bid. It’s a lot of information to take in when taking to multiple people, sometimes reading it for yourself makes sense. In your Ipad go to Comply360, the contract is in there, READ the Scheduling/Reserve section. While on SB or RAP. Q&A part of the section is helpful also. |
As mentioned above, seriously do read the contract. You’re probably going to have to call out a scheduler on a sketchy assignment at some point. Also, the bid packets can be found on my.envoyair via Departments>Flight>Flight Bid & Crew info. After that, at the bottom of the page under “other helpful info” you can find the pay add/removal codes/definitions that will show up on your HI1. A lot of people don’t know what the codes mean and that stuff does matter.
Lastly, I can’t say enough about QuickTrade. You must have it. It will make your life a lot less stressful. Make sure you proffer (if that’s what you want) and always always always make sure you confirm your assignment. Personally, when I was on reserve, I would go through the month and pre-set reminders/alarms on the day before each block started for the proffer window and the confirm window. All that being said about QuickTrade being great and all, still take some free time here and there to learn about DECS and how to use it to do the same things and more. On a long leg ask a CA to help you set up your PF keys to sign in and do some of the other functions. Figure out the little things to make the big things easier. Maybe pack your bag as soon as you get home rather than right before you leave. Get your commute figured out early. Bring at least some food with you even if it’s just dry snacks. Proffer for the easiest trips first. You’ll never break guarantee on reserve but at least you have the certainty of what the next day holds and a hotel for the night. Just a few suggestions... |
