The only negative thing in the back of my head about the news is the flow. With the 140s coming back, and now back to four bases, can the flow keep going? Keep in mind when we had four bases we were 3k strong and they were metering exactly to 25 at the time. Now not so much.
Congrats to the MIA folks though. I know many who commute and this will make the home life so much more stable and enjoyable.

When you are awarded something like upgrade/base transfer they put out what's called a flow plan. Not to be confused with the AA flow. It shows when all transfers or training awarded start. Originally the Feb. 27 class was transferring Aug 31 for those wanting DFW. The last flow plan pushed it back to December 2nd now. But that could change again with MIA opening.

I suspect it will be pretty junior on the CA side many seniors have flowed. Not as junior as NYC though. Lots of FO's still live in FL. I think FO will be more senior. Regardless, with so much movement I think all the bases will enjoy good movement

The flow will continue right at the metered amount. It would continue right at the metered amount regardless of how many bases we have because while we see the metered amount as a minimum to start at, the company sees it as a maximum figure that they never have to exceed.
I do completely understand your response, but how do you know that? Do you have solid factual information that shows Envoy can send pilots to AA without breaking a sweat? Again, increased flying, NH numbers are good but how long will that last, back to 4 bases but still about minus 1000 in the ranks. I'm not being absolute saying flow WILL stop and Envoy is in the coffin. Just.....concerned.
