I think everyone understands that nothing is written in stone, I like the idea of being able to hear what are some ideas from management. It's better than being left in the dark. If it's all propaganda than it shouldnt be mentioned, but if they are actively working on some of these things isn't it good for the pilot group to be kept in the loop?
Keep in mind that these new negotiations just started about a month ago, so they are relatively new discussions. Prior to that, the Company said they were content with the status quo.

Agreed 100%. The pilot group should be kept in the loop. I have asked the MEC OFFICERS including Sam Pool repeatedly to let the pilots know what Management wants in terms of these recent negotiations.

Bids for the EMJ in LGA are getting worked on. Many of us who were signed off in plenty of time in LGA didn't have our status changed so we weren't awarded lines. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon their will be resolution.

Pay for one (if my research is correct things aren't great at Horizon right now). The main reason, however, is that I'm transitioning from helicopters and at the time Envoy was the only company that not only welcomed my Part 135 Heli and Military experience but also offered to pay my transition costs.
I also like the idea of being able to flow to American at some point in the future. My understanding of the training here is that it is top notch, which is important to me, and I am looking forward to a flying position where safety isn't just a slogan (although I can only assume Horizon does well there too). Finally, I'm not opposed to moving to Texas in the future if I can get based there but we just can't do it quite yet.
I'm excited about the transition -and- a little nervous about the long commute. Any help would be much appreciated. I'll be talking to a couple of my friends at FEDEX and try and get dialed in on their schedules...maybe that will help.

Skyvector is a union stooge or a management lackey, or is being used by one. If he transmitted his information with facts and not opinions or hopes then I wouldn't have a problem with it. The problem with his posts is that it gives false hope to several who cling to their own hopes or aspirations.
