I've flown with a few ATL commuters (ORD based) and from what they've said it seems to be a decent commute.

That's painful

ATL-DFW is a very busy commuter route. DAL used to have a base in DFW and there are still lots of people commuting to ATL from there.

I'm not an ENY hater, but if you're shopping for a regional and you live in ATL I'd go with a company that has a ATL base. I don't know the DAL carriers that well, but there must be one. Nothing beats driving to work.

Hear hear. Envoy is not a bad place and the flow is a nice backup, but if you can avoid commuting, do it. I think endeavor is opening an ATL base.

Endeavor opening up an ATL base this in July...current pilots are bidding on that base this month. PM me for details.

While I agree, keep in mind that living in base should be ONE factor to consider. It shouldn't be THE factor, however. If I lived in Denver there would be no way I would go work for Great Lakes..for example. Consider all the factors at play..commuting is just one of many.

Yep! I made this mistake the first time around. Driving to work is nice, feeding your family is essential...
