I started at the beginning of November and I just finished IOE. Passed everything first time. So for me it was around 5 months.

The last bid got down to 4 years..so I wouldn't be surprised if the next one puts us at 3 and change. More upgrade bids will follow..so that number will just keep dropping.

Any 401 k can be rolled over after you leave your job. One option is to roll it over to the AA 401 k but why would you? Just roll it over to a retirement account and you have more options for investment with less fees. Or you can use a financial advisor to help make those decisions.
