Training location and schedule
Had a few questions about the training locations and schedule.
I understand the 175 sim is located in St Louis. Is this the location of the CPTs and systems training as well? If you are going to STL for sim, do you return to DFW after the CBTs first for testing, etc and then to STL? If there is a back up in training for the sims, where are they taking that break in the the training schedule? I would hate to do all the CPTs and then break for very long before getting in the sim.
Thanks

Indoc, systems and ground is all held at Envoy's training center in DFW, regardless of a/c type. Sims are then held at various locations around the country depending on your aircraft.
They are building a break in between indoc and systems/sim. Many moons ago the break was between finishing your oral and the sim. A month off during that time frame allowed a lot of rust to accumulate. I'm glad they have changed where the gap is.

So are there procedure trainers at DFW for all the aircraft? Just wondering about the ramifications of driving to training and going back and forth and how much time I would have.

Not sure where the procedure trainers are, but the car I'd say bring if you can. I like mobility and being stuck at a hotel and having to deal with the shuttle schedules sucks. Next time I go for 2 weeks or more I'm bringing mine.

We could all take a guess, but you'll find out for sure in a couple days. Don't stress it too much! Enjoy your last weekend before training starts.
The last vacancy closed only a few weeks ago. I'm guessing the next one will be out in March, so you'll have to wait until then to see if you can hold DFW. With how much they're expanding LGA, I'm guessing all the 145 slots will be there. You might get the transfer to DFW before you finish training, especially with the rumors out there that sims are starting to back up.
