Does Envoy pay/reimburse for medicals?

Do FOs have to keep a first class? If so does, that include while in training?

Are there any AMEs anyone uses near the training facility?

My First Class will expire while in training, assuming there are no gaps. I can get it done early while at home for CBTs but don't want to if I don't have to, especially if it will be out of my own pocket.

Envoy does not reimburse for medicals.

I use Dr. Griffin. First class cost about 45$ I think.

Dr Brad Griffin. $40 1st Class. About 15 minutes Northwest of the training center in Roanoke. Most DFW people go to him because it's so cheap.

Use him if and only if you have no medical issues. If you are older and have lots of paper work because of a prior issue then I would avoid him. Other wise it's quick, easy, and cheap.

Not for regular schedules but I think OT is paid at the premium on the major holidays.

OT premium is paid just about every day right now.

This. I've heard lots of horror stories about Griffin selling guys up the river to the FAA. If any issues pop up, he'll screw you. I highly recommend Dr. Krass. He's right down the street from the training hotel. His office is in Bedford. He's super cool, gets you out in 15-20 minutes, and will have your back with the FAA should the need arise. $95 if you don't need the EKG.

I agree. Have heard the same. For young healthy guys he is the way to go though. If you have no medical issues.

Mine was also going to expire during training and I intended to get it renewed during CBTs but then got the info about 10 days prior to class or so that they wanted you to show up first day of class with a medical that will not expire in the next 90 days. I went ahead and renewed it before class

Seconded. I've gone to both Dr. Griffin and Dr. Krass before, and Dr. Krass was way better. It was faster and more professional. If you have the extra few bucks, go to Dr. Krass.
