Do FOs have to keep a first class? If so does, that include while in training?

Are there any AMEs anyone uses near the training facility?

My First Class will expire while in training, assuming there are no gaps. I can get it done early while at home for CBTs but don't want to if I don't have to, especially if it will be out of my own pocket.
Just in case it wasn't covered, you're medical cannot expire during training. I looked through all my emails, but never found the exact number. I think it has to be good for at least 3 more months when starting training, but again I don't have the exact number. If you plan on getting it before training it needs to be done at minimum a week before so that it can clear.

Honestly does it really matter? Even if it's 5 years or 8, I think the best way to approach it is to know that someday you will end up at American, meanwhile enjoy your life. Chances are if you go there counting the days, you will not flow at all and end up somewhere else.

This is exactly the way it should be viewed! Thank you for the injection of common sense without obsession over how many hours you'll have to work at Envoy.

Bravo sir! Excellent attitude and the right way to view things. You are right. You WILL end up at American. Just enjoy the ride until your number comes up.

To really appreciate the flow you should try to get hired by the other legacies. If you haven't been hired by the time the number comes up you will he happy to have it. And if you get hired before your flow date even better.

If you really believe that, why do you always push overly optimistic numbers on this site all the time?

I put out numbers that are accurate. I'm just pointing out that this guy has the right attitude. If we could just get the 10% of the negative Nancy's here to adopt this philosophy then maybe all of the negativity would be removed from here. As I say, 90% of Envoy pilots don't subscribe to or believe in all the negative hype thrown out here in this thread.

The flow is real and strong. You have evidence of that each and every month. What is it going to take for you to buy in?

THIS!!! The flow is an awesome insurance policy. Hopefully you can bail to a legacy after a couple of years, well before your flow date. You'd be crazy not to do everything in your power to get through the door at AA, United or Delta well before your number comes up for the flow. And honestly, I think a lot of guys would prefer working for United or Delta if they could. But in the end, if you can't get a call back from a legacy to get an interview or if you botch an interview, it's nice knowing that you've got a job waiting for you at AA eventually.

Excellent and healthy perspective! For most of you the extra year(s) are fairly inconsequential however for pilots in their high 50's or early 60's at flow, the delay can cloud an otherwise easy decision.

You put out numbers that Envoy would flow 40 per month starting in January. That was a bold face lie. No way around it. There was absolutely ZERO chance of that happening.

You say we are averaging 70'per month. Again a lie.

Our hiring numbers are very stong but when you have two combined months that have 140ish doesn't create an average. After 4-6 months then you can call it an average.

You over state the positive and completely disregard the negative. Until you can at least admit schedules are bad then your comments here are not welcome.
