New summer schedule DFW 2019 press release said all the new routes would be on the 175. I log into travel planner to find that Mesa is doing the lucrative Santa Rosa and San Luis Obispo turns.

What gives?

So ****ed was looking forward to doing that flying.

This is not scientific at all, and could be completely wrong, but a little anecdotal experience I have had. A couple years ago when SKW was moving into ORD hard and there were more skw planes at the g gates than eagle, I logged into jetnet and researched routes. No matter what, greater than 60 days out it always showed as operated by Skywest. Even on eagle heavy routes to heavy mx bases and everything. But then I noticed within a two month window they would they switch to envoy. I didn't research too much, just tucked that random information away in my brain for no reason whatsoever and never took much stock on what it says too far out on the travel planner. So who knows. But I would definitely be bummed if Mesa got those routes. I mean DSM and GRR are amazingly scenic and bustling centers of tourism for sure, so it would be hard to give up a wonderful experience at the crown plaza grr, but i wouldn't mind a SLO overnight

Did a little more digging:

We take over the route May 3rd for SBP

And now Santa Rosa is only showing us.

Network planning people must be trolling Envoys APC forun.......

Or that was a very weird coincidence

No...you should not expect hotels outside of your standard commuter hotels.

Ah ok. For some reason I was thinking that didn’t apply in the boundaries of the trip but I don’t commute so ..

This will be the first time this happens for me - but if I am satisfied in my status, what should my 3* look like?

When I flew at XJet - if we did not want a new base, we put our current status at the top of our preferences, but right now it won't let me put DCE in my 3*...it says "Preference cannot equal next bid status."

Go the union website and lookup vacancy bidding guide. There is a rather lengthy document discussing the nuances.
