For the guys asking questions about commuting from XYZ...
Generally, the most import thing to look at is frequency and how many flights are on AA/Envoy.
Frequency is import because you need to give yourself two flights that get in before sign in. If you try two and don't make it, you don't have to go to work that day (it's an unpaid day off), and you can try again the next day. You get six of these "commuter policies" in a year. Most guys just use a few.
Frequency is also important going home. Having a late flight back to your home (8, 9, or 10pm) can make a huge difference in QOL. I'd rather roll into bed at midnight at home than stay an extra night in base and have to wake up early to catch a flight home.
AA and Envoy flights are really helpful for getting the Jumpseat. Some of the cities being mentioned have a ton of commuters (PHX, ATL, LAS, SAN) and having priority on the jumpseat will make a huge difference when loads get heavy (summertime and holidays).
The Airbus has 2 jumpseats, so having those on your route also helps a lot.
Some people say commuters are crazy for trying it, but if you like where you live, it's worth it. I've been doing it almost 4 years and have no regrets.

QOL on the 145
A lot of Holiday Inn overnights. Overall the hotels are pretty middle of the road. It varies city by city. We do stay in a Hilton or two but also stay in a Country Inn and Suites or two. I will say that most hotels (in my experience anyway) have things to do in the general area.
Is there any QOL difference between the 145/175? I'd rather fly the 175 but other than the airframe I don't know enough about them to decide. I will be commuting out of SGF and would prefer DFW. I know Envoy has overnights at SGF but I don't know how likely it would be for me to actually get those. If everything else is mostly equal but I could count on an extra night at home once or twice a month , I would go with the 145. If getting the overnights in SGF is a long shot, then I'm thinking that I'd prefer the 175. I've got young kids at home so any extra time with them is a bonus. All of this is assuming I get my pick of course. Any insights or guidance?

Thanks for the reply.

Unless you're older, it's doubtful you can hold 175 in your class. The 175 is a nice plane, but like the previous post, unless we get more deliveries, it might stagnate a little come late summer.

To those who have posted valuable information, I thank you, for the trolls I thank you as well for the good laughs. That being said, I'll be interviewing next friday (wish me luck) and I have a few questions.
How long is it taking after they offer you the job to be assigned a training class, I will be doing the ATP-CTP so how long should I expect a class date?
are the classes being delay a lot? is the training flowing? or is it still a lot of waiting in between modules, i.e Indoc, Ground, CPT's, IOE? any good advice on what to expect? thanks again and looking forward to join you in the air.

There is a little bit of gaps in training but it tends to be just before IOE. SIM may start to get backed up a bit. They keep on putting info out on hiring new SIM instructors and IOE guys so I hope they can get caught back up.
Any delays are still paid normal rate and per diem doesn't stop until you get through IOE.

Good luck on your interview. Just make sure you have all the easy stuff completed. Have a good attitude and I'm sure you will do fine. The recruiting team are good people even if they occasionally over embellish a bit here and there.

Thanks a lot for the reply, just one more question, is it taking to long to get a class date? or can I expect one to the end of the month or beginning of April, I'm ready to start right away, i just don't want to be sitting at home doing nothing after I get the offer.
