Speaking of IOE, how is the 145 doing? What class is currently undergoing their IOE?

Just completed IOE Monday. 10/24 class. Looks like most of our class is done.

Can you explain CDO or split duty trips?

Should be available for him/her too. Keep in mind though, you have to add them as dependents. I recently added someone to mine and I think it said to allow 48 hours for them to be processed. It took less than that, but you never know.
I'm not sure if it is faster or slower when you signup the first time. I wasn't married when I started.

Are there different call out times? 12 hour, four hour, two hour, airport, etc?

RAP is a 2 hour minimum call out. Sometimes they give you more time. Airport standby/ready reserve means you are physically at the airport. In either case you have to answer when they call, or call back within 15 minutes.

CDO= continuous duty overnight. It is just like it sounds--you sign in in the late evening, fly one leg, sleep in a hotel for 3-5 hours, fly one leg back and are then finished with your all-night flight duty period. You get your legal rest during the day then and can fly that evening if assigned.

Split duty is basically the same, but when the total length of the duty period is longer than allowed, they can split it per part 117, provided you are given at least 3 hours in a hotel in the middle. It is essentially the same thing.

These trips go senior.

Thanks for the explanation.

What type of reserve should I expect out of training? RAP or airport standby? Can you bid for either one? How would a RAP work if you have to commute to your base?

What does a junior/non reserve line usually look like?

I wanted to add something like this when I commented but wasn't sure. Yes, you have to add them yourself for sure. My memory says it was 24 hours to be processed (not just for them, but for myself). However, as far as I could tell from the website after I entered their info, it was immediate. But, again, I didn't test it.
