I was just in training and everyone there says it's a go for 145 sims in Paris starting in June or July.
To the dude asking about commuting to Skywest from DFW, nobody here can tell you what to do or what will make you happy. I live out west in a Skywest base city and commute to work for Envoy.
I'm really happy with where I'm at, but even now there's no way to know if I'd be happier over there. You've just got to gather all the information you can, make your decision, and try to enjoy it and not second guess yourself. There's really no way to know what the "right" move is, so make your decision and focus on what makes you happy and you'll be a lot better off. Good luck.

In other news, I confirmed today the Paris sims are go. There are just a few details left to iron out. Particularly regarding paying taxes..EU law requires anyone working there to get paid in Euros and pay appropriate taxes. That means our sim instructors will need work visas unless they are already EU citizens...which some of our instructors are.
Also, it looks like the rotation the company wants is 3-4 weeks. A few guys in the union are going to try and push for shorter stays. That's all for now. I was in a hurry and forgot to even ask about when this is going to start.
