This is because people being hired today will fall into the 15/mo flow window (approx) yet we are hiring 60/mo. This does not take into account attrition but it also doesn't take into account subpar hiring months at American (June17, every December, etc).
It's ok though you're already an American pilot. And you look like one too with that lanyard.

Default Two leg HIGOA

Can someone explain how to do a two leg HIGOA, or alternatively link two PNRs? I have a two leg to training and will need to check a small bag. I want it to get there. I have previously been told that if both legs aren't on the same PNR the bag won't get checked through.

Thanks

I've been told we don't have that ability. Give the training center a call.

Did this plenty of times.

List for your two legs using HIGOA.

Important the PNRs using travel planner.

See a ticket or gate agent and they can combine the two into one.

This is only necessary if you are checking a bag and want to check it all the way through.

Hope that helps.

Just making sure you didn't miss this post, the one after the one you quoted.

Thanks.

I did initially miss the post, but the person I talked to at the training center said the same thing. There is someone at the training center who can do it but isn't the one working today.

I had figured I would try getting the agent to do it when I got to the airport anyway and as a last resort just get the bag and recheck it. While a pain, KCM would at least make it doable.

Good to know I was on the right track.

Is training still backed up on the 175/145? Does anyone know the reserve time on the 175?

Cant speak to training backup but the reserve time appears to be stretching a bit. It seems the January/February classes are looking at a 3-4 month reserve list now with those hired after most likely seeing longer.

This however is all speculation as we don't really know if they have hired yet to fill the 4 new aircraft coming later this year. If that happens reserve may decrease. Even if it is a six month reserve, still way better then many.

824 pilots are arbitrary.

Protected Pilots, the company can adjust and do what they want. Grieve it later process.

Just like now.
