Yes, that was you. You timed it right. The question was how long for a new hire starting today. A new hire from April 2017 doesn't flow until April 2024 (7 years). The people being hired now are at 7 1/2 years already. The flow increases on a 1:4 ratio. For every month of new hires, the flow increases 4 months. This is because people being hired today will fall into the 15/mo flow window (approx) yet we are hiring 60/mo. This does not take into account attrition but it also doesn't take into account subpar hiring months at American (June17, every December, etc).

Two leg HIGOA
Can someone explain how to do a two leg HIGOA, or alternatively link two PNRs? I have a two leg to training and will need to check a small bag. I want it to get there. I have previously been told that if both legs aren't on the same PNR the bag won't get checked through.
Thanks
Thanks

I've been told we don't have that ability. Give the training center a call.

List for your two legs using HIGOA.
Important the PNRs using travel planner.
See a ticket or gate agent and they can combine the two into one.
This is only necessary if you are checking a bag and want to check it all the way through.
Hope that helps.

Just making sure you didn't miss this post, the one after the one you quoted.
Did this plenty of times.

Thanks.
I did initially miss the post, but the person I talked to at the training center said the same thing. There is someone at the training center who can do it but isn't the one working today.
I had figured I would try getting the agent to do it when I got to the airport anyway and as a last resort just get the bag and recheck it. While a pain, KCM would at least make it doable.
Good to know I was on the right track.

This however is all speculation as we don't really know if they have hired yet to fill the 4 new aircraft coming later this year. If that happens reserve may decrease. Even if it is a six month reserve, still way better then many.

Protected Pilots, the company can adjust and do what they want. Grieve it later process.
Just like now.
