Not sure I believe that. I know of guys currently waiting for almost two months for their final LOE. All of them were passing SIM events with flying colors.

Enjoy the training bubble. It's the only time in your life you will get 6 weeks of paid vacation during the first year of employment.

Anyone know how the new hire retention bonus gets paid out? I'm an October new hire so I'm curious if I'll get a prorated check in January for 4Q17 or if I'll get one in April for the entire 1Q18 payment.

Thanks

Probably what he means is that the extra sims required for the lower-experienced new hires (and/or instructors) are delaying everyone across the system, because one sim can only run 24/7, with a bit of MX downtime.

The training is NOT going "on schedule". I'm sure "weak pilots" don't help the situation, however I'm gonna say they aren't the major factor here. For instance, my sim partner and I finished all our scheduled training on-time, however MV and LOE events were never scheduled for us. So, we finished SIM7 and have now been waiting for our next event for 5 weeks. We've been told they might be able to get us back in September.

There are at least 5 pilots I know in similar situations, and it was always due to those last events not being scheduled... due to a lack of simulators and/or lack of check-pilots. None of the people I know about were because anyone got backed up or needed extra sim days.

You will notice I said currently. They have a backlog of people waiting on events but those starting training now are going right through. One class finished last week one yesterday and today and one next week. No delays.

I have classmates in the same situation as you. LOE checkairmen called in sick and they were sent home...its been 8weeks+ now for them, just waiting for an LOE sim, now they will need review sims up the wazzzzuuu plus the LOE sim. Training department is kind of shooting themselves in the foot by not giving priority to the people waiting on checks. The longer they wait to schedule them, the more review sims they have to provide them, therefore decreasing sim availability.

Default Where's Neal?

So, anyone know what happened to Neal? Said he resigned from the company. Doesn't sound like a flow to me
