Alright so it looks as if ill be going over to Envoy next month and I have a couple questions. I'm hearing that training is backed up and at times guys have to wait weeks before being assigned training events. My question is, is the company doing anything to change this issue so that in the coming months when im looking to hit the line that problem may have been solved? Also it seems getting Dallas is going to be a dream at this point since im 28, which would be the best city to commute to? I understand that MIA has gone fairly junior at the moment and I have ties there but I've done the dfw to miami route as a non rev passenger and that was hellish with 60 some odd non revs travelling, is Chicago and LGA similar? Which is the best option? Lastly, how long is the typical wait for a pilot to get awarded Dallas? I saw on here Dec hires are just now getting it, and then I hear some friends say "oo maybe two months away from DFW", any new word on that?
Commuting from DFW is going to be hellish. I think they each have positive and negatives. They all go through peak season where it will be difficult to nonrev. I don't think there is a clear cut winner on this one, however someone will always disagree.
8-9 months is the current and forecasted wait time. Currently no one is scheduled to base transfer to DFW outside of nine months.
With the delays of training they may be only flying in ORD/LGA a few months.

The training backlog will be continual until they get more SIM space. I hope it gets fixed soon.

The company is doing its best to cut back on the training back log. They recently started sending upgrades to France to help with extra sim time. They will continue to do all they can to find extra instructors and sim availability. What's not helping at all are weak pilots needing additional training. This is really hurting the back log. It's going to be awhile before you see DFW unfortunately. DFW just lost a ton of lines and there is TDY out of DFW for next month. Supposedly the lines will get back to normal at the beginning of next year. Where exactly are you commuting from? DFW? Yes DFW-MIA is extremely difficult, especially in the summer. Many guys have to 2 leg it. I would probably go to LGA if I were you, simply because you will see a line the quickest there. Plus the lines are FAR better in LGA than ORD. The sooner you can get a line, the better the commute gets. Commuting to RSV is torture. The good news is there is finally a lot of movement going on. So hopefully you can get where you want to be sooner than later? Are you prior 121 with at least 1,000 hours?

Good luck bro. AA pilots can reserve the jumpseat all the time while we get stranded because everything now a days is full.

You get 4 hotels a month from the company. Then expect anywhere from north of $100.00 a night if you get LGA.

Not sure I believe that. I know of guys currently waiting for almost two months for their final LOE. All of them were passing SIM events with flying colors.
