Thanks for the answers. On another note, I am not finding anything in the contract about how days off have to be scheduled.

I had a 7-day conflict with the last day of June, and the first six days of July, with days off starting on July 7.

Instead of putting my single day off on the 6th to resolve the conflict and have it touch other days off, scheduling put it right in the middle of the six-day duty period.

Now, I have a single day off right in the middle of those first six days of June. This wouldn't be so bad if I lived in base, but I commute, which makes it totally suck.

I called CS to see if they would move it, which would make more sense for all involved, but they wouldn't.

Isn't there something in the contract that requires at least two days off in a row? If not, that's a huge oversight on the part of whoever wrote the scheduling section.

They can do that. They will adjust things to best suit their staffing levels on the window they’re allowed to play with for transition conflicts (last 4 days of previous month, first 4 days of new month).

If your going to play the transition conflict games it’s better to live in base.

Looks like the latest vacancy bid just opened - 164 CA vacancies.

I have a few questions:

1. I am currently in upgrade training from the last vacancy (displacement), am I eligible to be awarded a vacancy? I was confused with the "entering training within 14 days" language.

2. As I was displaced to XXX, if I proffer (not proffer to displace) for a new base with the same equipment...XXX EMJ CA --> YYY EMJ CA do I retain my 'not seat locked' status?

Thank you!

Yes you can preference bid to any position. You can also preference to an FO position if you haven't finished Fed ride.

Regardless of what you preference bid make sure you still have your displacement bids in because you can still get displaced.

Quick confirmation. If you bid during this ATTOT that opens today, is it solely based on seniority and it doesn't matter when you bid, so long as it is in before closing? Or, does it work on a first come first server type basis?

Thanks

No ATTOT is for straight swaps. It’s the 24hr automated window. This is first come first serve as the trades are immediate if you’re legal for it. Lineholders only.

The 48 hour window is by seniority and requires you send an RF request

Ok thanks. So the 48hr open window is when you would pick up extra flying and stuff like that correct?

Yeah that’s correct but during the 48 hr window you have to send RF requests and then they will start awarding the OT (extra flying) once the window closes in seniority order by base. The 48hr window anyone (RSV and Line holders) can submit requests for the full or partial pickups they are legal for.
