Also, the other option of not getting the FOs consolidated is even worse. They have to go back into training taking up sim schedules which further reduces sim availability for upgrade training which would give the company even more merit for metering the flow.
It sucks, but now that FO hiring has been really spooled back this problem shouldn’t exist for much longer hopefully.

It’s allowed per the contract...

Yes but a quick scan of the reserve list for March doesn’t show any trips assigned to reserves who have consolidation deadlines in April or later. So it seems CS is only assigning to people inside of 30 days.

You’ve got to keep checking it though as that’s not always the case. Then you have to call/email swaps and drops and have it rectified if you were trying to pick something up and it was given to some outside of the 30 day consolidation deadline. Happened not long ago.

I’m sure there are one off mis-awards but I guess I was saying it doesn’t seem to be a widespread contract violation (thankfully).

There is no "merit for metering the flow." Letter 15-01 does not mention the term "metering."

See above^ also If you are coming here with the intention (even if you don’t want to, you will be forced to) of upgrading instantly, expect LGA 145. Hard to say when you will be able to bid out.
