Someone told me that ALPA has people who can help you learn to read your pay sheet or can audit your pay sheet with you? When I review it I get confused and can’t tell if I’m getting paid properly. I would like to learn! Any suggestions?
And don’t say to email your company pay person. The one who is assigned to me is rude and is of zero help.

4 yrs ago and over $50,000+ in pay lost due to stagnation, longer reserve, or pay rate, pay lost, flow lost / opportunity costs.
Many pockets were hurt. AA mainline does know. I’ve asked numerous crew members for thoughts while jump-seating. Your a good guy! Your a positive guy, and I like your posts I see u on JC also. I’ve been following this industry a long time, and actually appreciate your honesty & posts your one of the few liked, and your very aware that the hurt runs deep.
To a New PSA FO off IOE, or a 20yrs lifer at PSA reading this, Eagle Pilots have a great reputation & high level of respect in this industry for fighting the good fight and trying to set the bar high for EVERYONE, not just ourselves, same for Republic Airways, and the now defunct Comair. Spirt & Frontier has gain a lot of respect also amongst pilots everywhere. You'll be surprised how much Mainline Pilots talk about the industry during cruise @ FL380. Just ask them if your brave enough to want to hear the truth. They follow the hiring trend and the fights, they know what MESA was with easy phone interviews & hiring, poor pay, work rules/concessions happy, with SJS pilots flocking over there, and people with skeletons safty records dings flocking over to MESA. They know MESA’s pilot group is rebuilding their reputation now with their new TA, pay, and increased work rules. We spoke about it recently.
Also, something for every PSA pilot to think about, 50% of AA mainline class (IF not metered) & a large majority of the pilots were/are coming from Eagle-voy or the military... Many of those same guys will be upgrading to the CA position, many are aware. Mainline AA pilot Group is or will be an extension of mainly Eagle-voy and military pilots where unity and toeing the Line is respected, sadly pilots don’t forget easily. Eaglevoy nor mainline has. I’ve heard of some few PSA pilots getting the sheet handed to them at mainline/Indoc/on the Line by APA folks.
“Welcome aboard, but don’t do that sheet you did to Eagle over here.... {with the side eye stare.}
AA mainline pilots are very aware! One of them (Non-Eagle hired off he street) told him himself. I challenge you to ask for the crews honest opinion and thoughts when next you commute or ride the jumpseat. The industry is moving along and it would be nice for Eaglevoy to forget the past, but non has or will, Congrats on the increased flow tho. I mean that honestly, I’m not relying or waiting on it. I’m all-in with the 1st major that calls. I recommend you all do the same.
Questions: How many PSA guys are getting picked up off the street at other mainline/OAL? Is the Flow & SAP what many choose PSA for? I did not say “Bases” because many two leg commute for PSA.

What's the process on jumpseating on WN, where do you go to make the reservation for it? I wish it was as easy as UA/DL where you just show up at the gate and ask to be listed. Also for Virgin America can you just show up at the gate? Thanks

It's not horrible but there's a lot of options especially with United. I normally get on on my first attempt. Or I just go to United.

Travel>myIDtravel search for the flight, make sure you put pilot commuting otherwise it will try to charge you a zed. And list, show up to the gate and talk with the gate agent. It is super simple and a very nice process. Sure beats being on hold on the phone for 45 minutes.

Vacancy/Displacement bid
Question about the upcoming vacancy/displacement bid.
Hypothetically, I'm a MIA CRJ FO. I just flew my 1000th hour of qualifying time to upgrade, but I don't want to upgrade just yet. But if I do HAVE to upgrade, my preference is to stay in my comfort zone of MIA CRJ.
The initial bid starts at the top and works through all the FOs who WANT to upgrade. They get to the bottom and still have 50 more seats to fill, half LGA EMJ and half ORD EMJ. So now they count from the bottom of the 50 qualified FOs. I am 45 from the bottom, 5 from the top, so I now HAVE to upgrade. But there are only EMJs left, which was not on my displacement. Since not very many FOs WANTED the treasured MIA CRJ, they made it way down the seniority list on the FIRST bid, much lower than my number before they ran out.
So my question is this: Does the person with less seniority get my seat because they run the "I want to" before the "only if I have to" displacement?

Hypothetically! I know it doesn't exist. That is why I used it. Say it is ORD CRJ if it makes you feel better. The specific aircraft doesn't change the logic of question: Does the person with less seniority get my seat because they run the "I want to" before the "only if I have to" displacement?
