The union in their interpretation and implementation of 15 G 4 has hurt our pilot group worse than anything since bankruptcy. They have allowed the company to displace pilots OUT of seniority order. 15G4 in no way possible can come close to being interpreted as singling out FOs to upgrade to CA. 15 G 4 dose allow FOs to be forced to a CA position but all CAs junior to the FO must also be effected before the FO.
I still can't believe there isn't a grievance filed.
My biggest shocker was in the first email that said "To the extent possible displacement [bids would be honored]." (Paraphrased the last part)

I can't believe the company is doing this again, don't understand why any previous 121 people would come here after seeing the years of commuting to New York ahead of them.

Agreed terrible what they have allowed. People are going to get screwed so hard. Senior FOs under a year from flow can't bid for this vacancy because of the seat lock, and then have to hope there's enough slots in base for them to displace to, otherwise they will be forced to commute even though they could hold a line in base.

TSO
What do you guys do practically for this? Does everyone grab a TSO headset or do you wear whatever you want and use the provided DC if Fed or management shows up? I'm not really interesting in forking over 1k+ for some bose or 700+ for some clarities.
Thanks in advance

I have never used a TSO headset in 5 years. Had some lightspeeds now have the QC25 with UflyMike set up. If someone said something, which has never happened in line checks or Fed rides, I would just grab the spare set from the closet.

Meh...vast majority of us would rather those birds just stay parked in the desert. They're trying to grow us back to our pre-merger, pre contract battle shenanigans that sent 1,500ish of our pilots abandoning ship. They are looking at again having a 3,000+ pilot group and 200+ fleet. All of this growth does more harm than good for our pilots. Staffing crunches, displacing FOs to CA, excuse to meter our flow to only 25/month, etc....We'd be better off just staying hull neutral, getting caught up on staffing (which would have numerous QOL benefits), and not having our flow metered.
