Have I been seeing that there are plenty of pilots getting ORD as an initial base? That would be my first choice. As equipment doesnt matter to me as much, I'm wondering what airframes are typically seeing less reserve time there. 145 I'm guessing?

Might want to re-read 135.243 a 1 again, I also thought the same but another FO who was awarded upgrade last vacancy bid had the hours based on 135 Jet PIC less than 10 seats. There’s a letter of determination from the FAA floating around about this specific issue. Have a look again at the punctuation.

"At least 1,000 flight hours in air carrier operations (as co-pilot in Part 121 operations, as Captain in fractional ownership operations, as Captain in Part 135 turbojet, commuter, or 10 or more passenger seat operations, or any combination thereof)."
The specific part of 135.243(a)(1) I'm looking at says "or of a multiengine airplane in a commuter operation as defined in part 119 of this chapter"
119.21(a)(5) = On-Demand Operations (Does not specify number of seats)
I don't know if this is the right thought process....and sorry if I'm dragging this through the mud. Seems like a very gray area, so clarity/insight is good.
