This is probably the “think cheesesteaks” hint from the sell squad on another forum. I doubt this will be a full fledged base. Why on earth would they open a PHL base when we have a wholly-owned already there?

I don't pretend to know the nuts and bolts of this operation...but I believe Air Whisky left a gaping hole in PHL. Plus growth possibly? Who knows...I don't care. just tell the chief pilot not to give me any static about my five o'clock shadow and we'll be alright.

They're not. All of this new flying out of PHL will be Republic. The DSM flight, if Envoy actually ends up doing it, will more than likely be fly through out of ORD. Envoy will not open a PHL base. Last I heard, PDT and Republic will expand their AE PHL ops.

PSA has been adding more and more flying every month in PHL. It is getting ridiculous at this point with how much PHL flying we are doing and it isn't a base.

All false except 700s no longer leaving Envoy. And out of all of those rumors, the PSA 900s coming here is absolutely absurd and laughable. And by the way, the author of the article that so many are taking as gospel that confirms an Envoy PHL base has recanted and has stated it is in fact Republic flying and that they'd wrongly assumed it was Envoy.
