I have 325 SIC 121, and about 900 PIC 135 (Jet)....so, over the 1000 hour mark.

What would this mean for a call or displacement upgrade? If that happens, has anyone gotten ORD for this?

Thanks in advance.
They won’t call you, but next bid there is a chance you may get displaced, so make sure your “3*” is updated in decs. To answer your other question, all bases have been given out as displacements, I would just make sure you list ORD EMJ, ord e75 and ord crj in whatever order you want first, then the other bases. Your likely to probably get one of those. If you can’t and you have to commute I would go with New York, reserve is living hell here and nyc you will be off reserve the quickest.

Thanks for the info...I’m not on property, just gathering intel to make an informed decision. I’m assuming the 3* and DECS are standing bids or something? How often to vacancy bids come around?

They’ve been about every 3/4 months.

Yeah like he said above, every 3 to 4 months. Next one should be end of this month or early January.

Spouse is illegible for D1 and D2 passes. I had to submit a marriage certificate and birth certificate for my daughter to receive travel benefits. I’m sure there are accommodations for life partners

Im not sure if your wanting to upgrade or not but I believe that in order to use 135 jet time to satisfy the hourly requirement the jet you where PIC on has to have at least 10 seats not including crew seats. I’m pretty sure that’s right.

It's correct as per the Reg. Thankfully none of my 135 time counted otherwise I'd be LGA, bound.

After digging a little further, it appears you are right... the hours counted need to fall under 135.243(a)(1), which applies to 10+ seats.

Aside from an earlier bump in pay, I'd have no incentive to upgrade earlier. From reading earlier posts, it appears beneficial to be able to wait a bit and at least have a little relative seniority before upgrade, as to open up options for base bid and avoid some reserve time.

Thanks for all the feedback, I'm open to hear any other tidbits of information anyone else might have that maybe hasn't been touched on in awhile! Things that people may not know to ask about, those sorts of things.

You are correct, however your 135 time has to be as PIC in a 10 or more aircraft.

Reference 121.436 which will then lead you to 135.243 (a) (1)
