FM1 states you have to clear sick calls with CPO.
ORD CPO is stating no need to clear unless you get an HI6 asking to come clear it. I'll abide by the FM1 and just call and clear it. People have been coach and counciled about not clearing sick calls and chronic offenders have been given step 1 notifications. Stick to what the FM1 states

BS.... I’ve always, ALWAYS, had a doc’s note, I personally delivered to CPO, and requested them to photocopy the docs excuse and I still got a warn letter! Stick to nothing here. Even if you follow the policies you still get shafted by HR.

How senior is DFW (FO's & CA's)?
Currently, how senior is DFW for?...
- 175 FO's
- 145 FO's
- 175 CA's
- 145 CA's
I fully understand that things are vibrant (with some changes more predictable than others), but in 18-24 months is DFW expected to be more junior, more senior or similar to the present for each category above?
E175's & E145's are the only Envoy equipment based at DFW currently, right? Is there any projected gain or loss of equipment in the next 2-4 years for Envoy at DFW? (I'm understand that this is a long ways out, but I can't help but be curious about what's currently expected.)
I'm 18-ish months from having ATP minimums (I have no previous Part 121 experience), but I'm beginning to put a plan together (subject to change as things play out, of course) and Envoy is currently my primary target (my wife & I live in DFW) such that I'll likely seek to join the Cadet Program as early as possible, so thanks to anyone who is good enough to share what they know.

AHHHHHHHH What?? First off! You are no longer required to have insurance. Thanks TRUMP! Second, if they require you to have a note then the company will PAY for you to see the doctor. Third, this is how a sick call goes. "Hi this is Abraham in crew scheduling. Hi this is Joe. I am calling out sick for the next 4 days. OK. Here is your preassigned RAP 1 on this date. BYE. BYE." You don't call the CPO.
FINALLY. If you don't have the ability to call out sick then you shouldn't be a pilot.
Also, another tip. Avoid the CP in NY as much as possible. In my brief encounter with him I have lost all confidence in him. Im sure he is a nice guy but I just wouldn't trust him. My advice is never talk to him about anything unless you have union representation.

Read above!!!!!
New FOs CALL YOUR MENTOR CAPTAINS! So much to learn beyond flying. Have 2 or 3 knowledgeable CAs you feel comfortable reaching out to. Get as much advice as possible. Call your free of charge Union Rep FO/ CA, they are here to watch your 6 o’clock and give you good advice and point you in the right direction.
An Eagle Mgmt CP is NOT your mentor! They have a lot of other priorities and company efficiencies to promote.
Some guys/gals will learn the hard way.
