Good lord. If that is true this industry is about to get shaken up pretty bad. Thats the kind of money that will make 1 year FO's jump ship and start over seniority wise. 20K extra a year is significant.

If you're on reserve, just hope they don't call. I was proactive and even though I was the most senior FO I called to let them know I was sick. Rather do that, than be the a**hole who would be their last resort and tell them nope. But noooooooo. Haven't heard the end of it. And don't count on the commuter policy. Better just list yourself on 6 flights and hope for the best

Again, I feel something is amiss here. I have not had anywhere near this experience with Envoy. I had three sick calls, in the same 5 week period due to respiratory infection and a commuter policy use earlier in the year. I was treated respectfully on all accounts and in the probation interview was simply asked to explain the sick calls. I offered documentation from the doctor as well as prescription records but was told it wasn't needed.

So, either I got incredibly lucky or they also take into account other considerations such as timing, probationary reports etc to come the conclusion.

Default Probation and sick/commuter policy

I haven’t had to use either. Came close for one of both but was actually able to work with CS and avoid both. Maybe I was lucky.

Just like every thing, timing and luck come into play. Who you have to deal with may be the difference depending on where you are based. Sounds like LGA is worse than other places, but I haven’t had to deal with that location... yet.

Default Referral Bonus

For those of you who have completed IOE and were referred, did your sponsoring employ automatically get their bonus or did they have to chase payroll or recruiting down to get it all figured out?

Thanks!

I've heard of hit happening both ways. I'd say if the referrer hasn't seen anything within a couple of pay cycles after the IOE completion, then they need to contact recruiting, not pay comp.

Are junior CAs on the CRJ flying at all? Just wondering in case I’m displaced on it.

Interesting, with aircraft leaving I thought the junior guys are just there for a turn once in a while.

So a couple bits of bad advice here. If you are sick call out sick. Don't fly if you aren't fit to fly. Second you can not list your self for more than one flight between to cities. It's a good way to get your privileges get taken.
