I don’t care what you guys say, 18 is a huge brake pump from what our class sizes have been. I don’t buy that this was an international slow down for one second. I think this company will get out ahead of this quickly with matching pay. We’ll see what happens.

I could have taken any class in Dec of 16. I decided why spend Christmas with any of that hanging over my head. I could Have one last Christmas with my family before I hit the junior life of this career. I ended up starting in January of 17 and I wasn't the only one in that boat.
One small number in a sample is a statistical outlier. If it continues then it becomes significant. AAG isn't dumb they know the staffing situation elsewhere. But to react too early and cave with EDV pay rates before it's necessary is leaving money on the table and would annoy investors. The hard part is to know when to blink.

1-Hourly wages that are now 23% behind the leader in the business.
2-One of the lowest sign-on bonuses among all competion.
3-A reputation of bad schedules and fewest days off.
4-A slowing flow to American that is creating questions, doubt and value of waiting years and years.
Just my opinion but only 2 of the above can occur at once and still attract large numbers of new hires.

Do new hires get displaced to CA with less than 1000 121 TT? And if so, what is the number, 900, 800, 950?. IE, only have to have 1000 for the Fed ride, or 1000 to start CA training?
Can someone with less than 1000TT expect to get fully trained as an FO in whatever they can hold before the swap?

Same here... could have come in Dec, chose January. I'd love to see some pay raises but I doubt the December numbers are going to mean anything. The xmas month does crazy things to scheduling, hiring, training, bidding... it's just not that useful for determining the future overall.
