I’m using the on 1015 RAP example and they call at 1005. This exactly happened to me.

I had to carpet dance for this and was shown the document detailing it out. Reach out to union. They have it.

I'd like to know more about this.

It's never happened to me but I've talked to 3 or 4 guys that claim to have been called by CS a few minutes too early before a RAP and claim to have told them they need a new 10 hours of rest. None of them mentioned dancing on the carpet.

Not really anyway out of that one. They'll call you at midnight to confirm. If no answer on your part, it's a missed assignment.

What if you want to get out of rap 1 on your first day and proffer for other stuff so I can commute in the day of but are still stuck with rap 1 once assignments go out. Being it was preassigned via HI6 are you stuck with the rap 1 then being you don’t have to confirm?

You are stuck with it. Any preassigned RAP is considered confirmed because it came to you via HI6. You are more than welcome to proffer for anything other than a RAP 1, but if you don;t get it, then you are effectively considered confirmed for your RAP 1.

No pot has been stirred. We were all new at one time. The main thing that anyone needs to know is that we have a union to answer these questions. And usually, the union is more reliable than an online forum.

From the way I read the contract, if you are a reserve pilot and finish the last leg of your trip, to be released, all you have to do is check your HI3. You do not have to call and get released. Is that correct?
