The moral of this story, don’t come to ExpressJet until significant improvements are made. Because if they fail to offer improvements or actual incentives, things are going to come crashing down very quickly. Especially by the summer. Just spoke with a chief earlier, stated that staffing is getting dire and they have absolutely no one to cover.

I guess the line from management during the call in that attrition was meeting expectations was a load of dog dodo. My guess is less than 500 active pilots. Any CRJ pilot on property September 1 gets a $20k bonus and as I’m sure you’ve heard we will be pay protected now if displaced to the right seat of the ERJ.
UAL better act fast if they don’t want to see their ERJs getting parked due to a lack of pilots.

This is a nice reminder of how daddy delta treats their regionals. https://www.wsj.com/articles/delta-s...hts-1444278510

Well there may actually be a corporate strategy going on here. For instance, if XJT is bound by the CPA to do X amount of hours and Delta knows we can't actually fly it, it's a lawsuit and win for Delta. Exactly what they did to Republic forcing them into bankruptcy. They couldn't fly their obligations and Delta sued. I wouldn't be surprised if they are using the same strategy.

"Mama" Delta as we called them shut the place down because pilots wanted a living wage, and the QOL was horrible. I was a ramper back then, what they did to us was is the same as they do to all their regional feed. I was talking to an Endeavour crew, and they were actually talking of a lateral move due to their QOL being so bad.

On the CRJ side things are so bad that all AQP classes for March were cancelled and those needing AQP will have it done in Feb/April. All but two CRJ instructors will be sent to the line in March.
