There is absolutely zero reason why ExpressJet will receive any of these airplanes. XJT does not have the training or maintenance infrastructure set up for the E-175 nor do they hold any cost advantage over another regional where it would "make sense" to place them at XJT. Oh, and did I mention SkyWest can and will do it all on their own? As soon as the UAL ERJ contract expires in 2022 so will ExpressJet. I'm sorry to be so blunt.

You can't criticize someone for saying this company is going down when we've been losing airplanes every month, averaging a net loss of 40-50 pilots a month off the list. Zero communication from management or the union. You can't be like how dare you think that. Anyone with common sense is going to think it, given our trajectory and a continuous stream of bad news.

The silence from management is what kills me. I remember the raving about how XJT management was approachable, and this is disrespectful to the workforce.

The same report shows Expressjet Airlines operated 31,977 block hours in June 2018. Expressjet operated 53,854 block hours in June of 2017. A reduction of 40.6%.
How much longer can Expressjet exist with these kinds of reductions? You don't have to be an insider to see whats going on here.

With everything that has been going on at XJT over the last 4 years and with SkyWest running the show, the E-175 will never be placed with ExpressJet Airlines. Period, end of story.

I'm sorry if the truth offends you and I didn't mean to come off in an offensive manner, but it is simply the truth. The EMB-145 is already past its prime and is considered "outdated" by today's regional jet standards. ExpressJet's contract with UAL expires in 2022 and Air Wisconsin's contract with UAL expires no later than 2023. Both airlines provide 50 seat flying and its "interesting" that both deals have end dates within a year of one another. Additionally, it was just announced today that Republic Airways has signed a letter of intent for 100 E175s.
