Because I’m not chasing flow, which is a marketing tool in the first place to get numbers in. All the WO’s are metering the flow and that could go away at anytime as well.

Thanks for the response. So as a NH you don’t really have a choice in airframe or is that just a one off occurrence?

And what do you mean about scope? The 175s are the scope limited aircraft, not the 145s. United showing preference to put 175s at XJT does not keep XJT small. It’s the exact opposite. It’s growth.

And a 50 seat SpaceJet? Huh?
“As they can staff”; United’s regional games are showing a lot of cracks, due to staffing issues. a lot of competition for pilots right now.

As a nh it depends on the needs of the company. For example let's say there are 20 in your class and they have 10 175 slots and 10 145 slots split between EWR and IAH. In this case your class would get to bid for what they want in preferential order and it is awarded based on your seniority within your class(oldest person most senior is how they used to do it but not sure now). If they say they need 20 175 FOs well guess what your stuck. Now you are seat locked on the 175 for 18 months then you can slide over to the 145 assuming they are running bids.

Junior ORD lineholder is 02/12/18 hire. Regarding the relief lines, the number varies so I cant really say for sure.

Thx!

Wasnt there only like 30nh from jan-march, but starting in April 40-60 a month, so those guys should start hitting the line I'd think and hopefully as the new hires come in, that'll adjust down some.
Assuming that's how it works and I understand how the hiring/reserve/upgrades work

Do pilots on reserve get to fly much? Are they able to pick up trips?
