Hopefully the ownership of XJT is about to change and we can get out from under Skywest. Until then the whipsaw will continue!

regarding the "EQO" - it's also taxed at your regular tax bracket, not as a bonus. You'll have to do the individual math for yourself to see what the difference in take-home is.

Ugh. Bonuses are not taxed any differently than other income. Please show me the "bonus" box on the 1040. Sometimes they are withheld at a flat rate.

Not quite as exciting of a contract as we had hoped, however, with the “contingency” being assumed that we are getting out from under that garbage company known as Inc, that’s our only shot at survival.

This ‘contingency’ is one way to keep the rumor alive. Costing literally nothing.

Remember OO has no DC, lower 401K match, higher insurance premiums etc. I'm sure we will be slightly higher than Skywest total compensation. You really can't compare work rules between the two.

Actually OO has a higher 401k match. But no b fund that is being given up for new hires.

This attitude is why we can't have nice things. Republic figured out how to match them. Why can't the rest of us?

Republic also owns their planes.....they aren’t fighting another airline for table scraps

Meh. I just think we were all hoping the offer would have been less underwhelming. When do you guys vote? OO should have a new offer in the next month or so.

Yeah, I think it’s tough to look at just one aspect of a contract and say it’s great or it sucks. I don’t give our management much, but I remember one guy saying in a conference call that he would agree to pay rates of $200/hour immediately... if he got to write the rest of the contract. There is truth to that.

Truth. I don't think anyone is saying it sucks. Hope you guys have a better future than what you've put up with the last several years.
