Come to a regional and upgrade quickly, enjoy good work rules and respectable pay, and move on to a major or legacy in 4-5 years. That's the standard formula that most regional pilots are looking for, and fortunately this new contract is the first step in delivering that.

People place too much emphasis on top-out rates, which most of the pilot group should hope to never see.

I agree, but the ability to staff is arguably the most important factor for a regional airline today. Top-end rates do not get people in the front door, but career progression does.

This vote was really a no-brainer. If we don't get the -175s AND we are not sold by Inc we go back to Section 6 negotiations 1 February and get paid more while they drag it out. In this case, it's nothing more than a 4-month extension.

'We' voted in a TA that DOES NOT currently have that language. Perhaps it was 'mistakenly' included in a prior release, but that is NOT what was ratified this morning.
Congrats, indeed.

Out rates top out at year 18, endeavor at 15.... still a good difference, but not one that warrants your attitude.

No. I don’t trust management. But I do trust the MEC. There will be a melt down of epic proportions if it turns out not to be there.
Time will tell. Either something better is coming, or if not those who remain get paid more while this place winds down. You’re absolutely illogical in this. You think we are going to be wound down. What... in 3 years or so? Section 6 negotiations, if are are wound down, will take at least that long. Might as well get paid more in the process. Or if I offered you free money would you actually turn it down?
