You’re absolutely illogical in this. You think we are going to be wound down. What... in 3 years or so? Section 6 negotiations, if are are wound down, will take at least that long. Might as well get paid more in the process. Or if I offered you free money would you actually turn it down?

I'm looking at the facts. Granted, I am not, nor ever have been privy to the negotiations, but I have NEVER heard of this type of 'magic' language in a legal document.

If ALPA lawyers are ok with it... I certainly don’t know better.

Congrats to the XJT group.
More like a change of the ailment with a decrease in syptoms
So do I
And in the process they screwed Pinnacle, COMAIR, AWAC, ASA, ACA, etc.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
That's the mindset many of us had when hired before 9/11 and got to suck up the dark decade (and a half) before getting to move on.
Hopefully it never happens to you. But when/if it does, you and many others will see in in a different perspective.

People place too much emphasis on top-out rates, which most of the pilot group should hope to never see.
Come to a regional and upgrade quickly, enjoy good work rules and respectable pay, and move on to a major or legacy in 4-5 years. That's the standard formula that most regional pilots are looking for, and fortunately this new contract is the first step in delivering that.

But if SGU/ATL didnt have their heads up their collective rectums, the attraction/retention of pilots could have been solved long ago.
Yep, got to go through all of it.

Meh....I’m kind of selfish. I’d rather make the pay good for new people to come here so we can all GTFO. My interest in the QOL for the super senior lifers is pretty slim. This never should have been a career destination for anybody, and the fact that so many have planted themselves here for the long haul is precisely why we have had so much difficulty. Well paid CAs who barely fly don’t help when it comes to the accountants.
