This is all too new for an accurate answer. However, additional airframes means the need for additional crews.
The company increased the DEC bonus to the maximum allowed by the CBA $40,000. So that suggests XJT doesn’t have enough FO’s willing to upgrade to cover the fleet.

As near as I can tell there isn’t a single regional able to hire as many as they want as of today and for a couple months now. It’s finally hitting everyone.

Actually those orders became firm only one week after the announcement last June. Embraer has 39 outstanding FIRM E175s Owed to United as of last September. Haven't checked it since then.

skwest has classes filled for months out, and TSA had classes filled until May before they stopped hiring and laid off their last class.

please post a source for that because there has never been a statement for 39 planes.

United ordered 20 +19 options. Those options can only be delivered if Skywest has their 19 CRJ7’s converted to CRJ5’s as those are the last CRJ7 aircraft in the UAX fleet. Mesa’s announcement for 20 175’s was them taking over the financing obligation from United for the 20 175’s United ordered.

“There has never been a better time to become a First Officer at SkyWest Airlines. If you are already a 121 pilot, you have access to our Industry Experience Credit, which allows you to transfer your 121 time and flight hours and use them towards captain upgrade time as well as increased starting pay. Additionally, SkyWest recently announced that it will be expanding its fleet with 50 new E-175 aircraft!

Upon application, you are eligible for an expedited interview process. We have immediate class dates available as soon as March.

If you are interested in what your future at SkyWest holds, you can go to our website at http://bit.ly/2wacSgW for more information and to apply.”
