Why would I need luck? You think they don't know that seniority movement is important to people? Be honest in interviews. If they asked me where else I had applied and what my top choice was I would tell them. They're not insulted because they understand that people have different priorities. Mine are seniority movement and base. Skywest is tops in base selection but bottom in seniority movement. Those are just facts. It's just business not personal.
On a related note.... The gouge for the interview at Compass if asked 'where do you see yourself in five years' the correct answer is somewhere else! They get it! Regionals are a stepping stone. I'm sure most people at skywest get that too. Be respectful but always be honest about your needs and intentions in an interview. BTW.... With the connections I've got it MIGHT not be far fetched that I could skip the interview.
Enough about skywest....
Best of luck to all of the Express Jet folks that are affected by these changes. My guess is that Compass is the next domino for either complete failure or a huge change. I'll see you guys out there.

Yes it is.
You could be childhood friends with Chip Childs and you will still have to do an interview. Skywest is a publicly traded corporation and there certain HR and EEOC processes that have to take place just to have the paperwork in the employment file. You’re not that special.

I didn't say I was special. Learn to read before you respond.
What I said was MIGHT be able to due to connections. And even with what you said it would still be possible. Even with your valid point it still could be. I'm not saying it would happen but there are people that could, if they wanted to, walk into HR and say, "hi I'm going to conduct some of your interviews today and here's my first guy with his application and resume. We're going to conduct the interview over lunch. Bye!" A good leader wouldn't do that but it happens. I really hate the fact that connection is often more significant than merit in this business but sometimes it is.

CRJ CA has been going to people with less than 6 months on property in recent months so I don’t think you really know what you are talking about.

you seem to be talking about scope and relationships between United and Skywest and United and Mesa etc. I'm not saying those airplanes can be flown under the current numbers for scope. I'm just saying that according to Embraer those orders became firm shortly after they were ordered as options. I found a report on Embraer website back in August that was dated sometime in July that showed all of the outstanding orders for e175. The report showed 0 options for United but it showed 39 firm orders owed to United.
I can no longer find this report but I did find a different report dated 31 Sep 2019 that showed 29 firm orders owed to United.

Expressjet was Still taking deliveries of planes last year... In April they took delivery of 1 175 and then they took delivery of 3 175’s per month through the end of December.
September 31st, 29 firm orders... 20 for Mesa and the remaining 9 175’s For Expressjet. The order was made in middle of June, so excluding June, Expressjet still had 18 jets remaining to be delivered through 2019. That report likely was made after the first two June deliveries were made and one remained, which gives you 19 aircraft... 19+20=39...
Again, the 19 options United ordered HAVE NOT been exercised.
