(If those 175s wind up at SKYW, Imma throw things.)

Lack of pilots. Tip of the iceberg for United. Lack of pilots at TSA closes the doors. Someone must fly the planes and United is desperate. If you move the pieces around by moving the 175s to SkyWest, which says they can staff them, move the 36 145s to XJT who might be able to staff by moving the 175 pilots over combined with offering the TSA pilots seniority at XJT it just might all work. It’s a desperation move. Down by 14 with 2 minutes to go. Time to resort to drastic measures.

Now, the real question is will United learn from this and do more to attract pilots to its regional feed, or will they think “Haha! Problem solved! We are geniuses!”?

If the XJT contract is not re-negotiated ASAP we will be in the same place as TSA within 6-12 months.

These are the facts. Trying to read any more into it than this is overlooking the simple truth.

If management thinks all the 175 pilots will be going over to the 145 and not leaving to fly elsewhere for better pay and a type bonus on top of it they’re not thinking straight.

Yep, I bet a large share just leave for Republic, Envoy, SkyWest and other 175 operators. Why go back to the school house to learn a dinosaur jet with a limited shelf life remaining?

United needs to do something significant with pay, QOL and career advancement or risk a mass exodus. This summer will be brutal.

Because of this, there will be very few, if any TSA guys going to Gojet. We all want to get out of here. Conference call today was a joke and they had no real answers. Union sources are telling us negotiations are underway for a soft landing for TSA guys that want to go to Expressjet. Supposedly UAL is really pushing this to help crew the XRs. We're being told the bulk of the flying will be transferred after August with a few planes leaving by May, then a pause in transfers until fall.

Rumor I heard was they are working on a package for people to stay until the planes leave and then got to Expressjet. UAL needs to keep the planes flying all summer and without significant financial incentives and some kind of assurance of a job, people aren't going to wait and this will be a ghost town soon. I don't see Expressjet getting all these aircraft transferred over the next year without some of the TSA guys going with them. I expect most of the TSA guys to go to LCCs, some to other regionals and very, very few to Gojet. Mostly the old timers who don't have a lot of time left and don't want to leave St Louis.

We'll see what happens but this is gonna be another TSA cluster until the planes get transferred.
It’s not just the lack of pilots getting those machines spooled up at XJT, it will weigh heavily on the state of the aircraft being transferred.

I remember when I was at Envoy and the TSA planes started making their way back to ENY, they spent a lot longer in the hangar getting back up to speed to pass a conformity.

Dinosaur? You do realize that some of those deadheads you guys do are on a dinosaur 737-800.

Those planes were built to have a much longer shelf life than an RJ. You realize that right?

$55k bonus at the Voy and 5.5 year flow to AA. We need more friendly XJT folks here.

There’s no such thing as a 5.5 year flow for new hire at a Envoy, that’s for the 2016 new hires, and then flow works is way back up to 8-9 years for everyone hires after.

Same thing YX is going through taking on CP’s 175s. TSH has a complete disregard for proper maintenance.

Sounds like people around you need to start ducking. I'm pretty sure SkyWest is getting em all. I'm surprised none went to Republic but I bet SkyWest tossed out a cheap undercut to get them.
