TSA drove itself out of business. HK is an asshat.

Exactly. This is terminal whipsaw. Loser walks today, winner walks tomorrow.

Probably true. UA is not worried about long-term whipsaw on 145's. They can whipsaw them against CRJ's if necessary in the short-term. The winner of the cage match will probably get new airplanes eventually.

Suppose either goes down....then two.months later there is no competition; this allows the surviving organisation to drive the contract back up. It just doesn't make sence.

can’t be hard to negotiate a favorable contract with a company you own 49% of.

If you think that 51% isn’t the same group of people sitting in the 49%.............

I think Xjt will survives due to the amount of infrastructure. They have a training center that can house operations and possibly headquarters. Simulators and also there is the cabin trainer. I think the 175 sim and cabin trainer is there too. Eventually united will outfit Xjt with the 175
