yup. Skywest will be shrinking 30% next year when the 13 month look back clause comes into play. By then I expect the regional model to be crumbling and many regionals failing as the major airlines implode. I suspect the bottom 50% of many pilot groups haven’t long left in the career.

It’s not 13 it’s a 12 month look back on UA block hours. The amount of flying the UAX can do is tied to that. He is also wrong on the time frame. It will become an issue in Q4 2020. That’s according to my union (UALALPA). Domino isn’t a UA Pilot.

I hope it doesn’t get that bad but am putting applications out anywhere and everywhere that has similar FO pay. What makes this look back an issue? 50% is a broad speculation but this pandemic is one broad that is full of surprises. I did hear that after 9/11 it took airlines about five years to recover from that shutdown. Anyone with more knowledge please chime in.

50 seaters are affected by the lookback as well. Besides we all know Skypest will get all the 50seat flying they want. XJT will get the left overs
