i forgot about Skywest. Kirby isn’t eliminating 50 seaters, he’s just consolidating, and giving most of it to Skywest.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Now that I’ve moved on to mainline I cherish my time there more than ever. One observation, Subohd likely cooked this up on his own and is using this crisis as a ploy to exact concessions from the best darn pilot group in the industry. I hate to see u guys suffer BUT please don’t fall for the oldest trick in the book. We HAVE seen this movie before: You agree to concessions and then oops . . . Commair and Expressjet will both survive. You will just have much less pay. Shame on your weak arse MEC chairman. Stay strong. Don’t fall the oldest ploy in the book.

This company has a history of blaming UAL when it wants to screw the employees over. I wouldn’t take it at face value. I also highly doubt Kirby is the guy who drives this stuff. There’s a group of managers who make all the UAX decisions. I’m sure Kirby is aware and most certainly has to bless the decision....but I’m sure this is mostly your own CEO. You know.....the guy who USED to be the CEO of the company you now have to lowball in order to survive?

In French, as you may know, beaucoup is an adverb meaning "a lot" or "much" (as in merci beaucoup, meaning "thanks a lot")
It is easy to say that they should not take concessions, but to those pilots, it means their livelihood. Some will likely lose houses as a result of losing their job. Others will end up getting divorced. It is a terrible thing.
To ExpressJet pilots...Do what is best for you and your pilot group and I wish you all the best.

Commutair has something like 2000 seats to its name.
If there is a rebound of customer demand, how will United feed its network with 40 airplanes of 50 seats?
They will need a feeder that can support nation-wide operations for the smaller 50-seat market.
I think that will be XJT. Certainly Whiskey nor Commutair could fill this role. Honestly, and no offense to commutair - but you think United will put all of its chips on the 50-seat market to either of those companies?
