I dont work at xjet but I believe you guys will survive.
The smaller regionals like AWI, commute air and maybe go-jet? Aren't likely to make it. I believe its because they are small and it requires to much accounting and resources on UA's behalf. XJet easily has the planes and staffing to take over whatever flying those guys currently have.
Plus UA bought all those 145's from trans states and at this point, its either fly them or take a loss. Probably better to just keep them going.
Whatever furlough's the company is prepping for will probably be short lived or not at all.
One things for sure come October 1st the airline industry is gonna be a replay of the movie "300".

Wishing nothing but the best for those at XJT, no one wants to see fellow pilots faced with the horrible choice of concessions to keep a job. I completely understand why some would be willing to take that deal, and I can’t fault you for that, it’s easier to preach when it isn’t directly happening to you. But I do hope for the good of the profession that enough of you are willing to wager personal sacrifice against setting the profession back.
Over time your pilot group has been a leader in moving the “B Scale” portion of the profession forward, as a necessary consequence to see the floor knocked down by one of our professions leaders would be a huge gain to anti-labor forces. Godspeed to all of you who have the courage to stare down the barrel and refuse to set us as a group back.
In solidarity.

This game/circus has been going on for decades. Just the field-players/tent-clowns have changed.
Read further back in the thread. 2008, that didn't happen.

That’s like saying I asked a hot chick from work out and she said no. So I’ll just be single forever.

This mindset will hold you back. The blame United they didn’t hire me argument is tired and lame. No airline hires everyone they interview. They shouldn’t, either. Just because one major turns you down, that doesn’t mean you should give up. If you do, look in the mirror for whom to blame.

The amount of adequate candidates, to even barely good enough/was simply well prepared and had a good day (ahem, ME) all the way to "how the hell did they get hired?" that came OTS is probably the similar/same to the more than adequate, more than good enough, they SHOULD have been hired that were shot down on the CPP.
And most of those did just what you state, had ZERO problems getting on elsewhere, but had NOTHING to do with looking in the mirror.
I have a feeling that many of those that didn't get it and ended up at various other places aren't regretting not getting it one bit right now.
Anyway, 'nuff of that.

If xjt takes concessions, they’ll survive. If not, look for them to be offered rehire at c5 as a newhire.
Who’s to say UA can’t just give c5 the sims, training center, mx hangers, parts, etc. They Ultimately call the shots at both regionals, right?
