The VP of Flight ops is a fat liar. Agreement STILL is not done. They are waiting on scope. (Job security).

Dude, he's the only vp of Flt ops that I've seen that really does want to this place a better place to work. That's coming from over a decade of working here view.

If all the other regionals are raising pay on first year and we aren't how are we to attract people to help promote upgrades and QOL?

Capt was in my crashpad and was a great guy. Met his lovely wife and two small boys one weekend when we were both on reserve. Matt, the FO, is a tremendous person and even jokes about his situation (appearance etc). The FA (Rhonda? not sure) did a great job getting people off that plane. She was, and is, pretty mentally scared from the crash, who wouldn't be. The Company allowed her time off to recover and it was for quite awhile as I recall. She came back slowly just flying as a passenger and I don't remember if she tried to actually work a flight. Either way she couldn't do it and retired/resigned. That crew saved a lot of lives that day due to their skill. I also heard that the Capt constantly transmitted what was occurring on the way down which was a great help to investigators and such. A hell of a man, RIP Capt Ed Gannaway.

Don't place ALL new aircraft at Skywest and maybe divvy them up with ExpressJet? Increasing first year pay will not move the needle much.

Lying about hiring hundreds next year is one.

Increasing first year pay will help tremendously. If we don't attract candidates from today forward we will not see any movement period in seniority - that's fact just by figuring numbers.

I do completely agree Skywest needs to throw us a bone here. Something needs to happen period in the positive direction for morale.

What part of wanting to hire hundreds next year is a lie? We will lose hundreds most likely in 2016 and with a static fleet plan and not able to staff that will nit be pretty.

My point is he wasn't lying when he mentioned wanting to hire hundreds.

He said the extension is done, its not. Still waiting on the scope piece. Once again, the Company holding things up. He blames the Unions. He's a liar. He speaks out 4 sides of his mouth at any given time. He never ****, if he starts talking, you never get him to stop. He sometimes contradicts himself in the same run on sentence.
