Makes me smile to hear that. If only someone at ASA could've been in charge of who buys who. Then they wouldn't feel this way.

I think the problems may be a little deeper than a group of people who fly the plane? How can that be so different from one company to another?
Some reasons people at my home airport complain:
1) Single (off center isle) sardine can. Delta has large RJs and mainline. United’s fault.
2) Not having a jetbridge, Delta has 2 gates for 8 flights a day. United has 1 for 11 so they constantly catch up with each other which forces a hardstand (Rain snow and cold). United’s fault
3) Baggage or any ground service delays United’s fault, they contract Envoy for all ground operations
4) Customer service experience in the airport, United’s fault they contract Envoy for ticket handling
5) Ground equipment problems, they won’t let other branded equipment service their RJ’s forcing larger delays. United’s fault

They don’t ever complain about the xjt pilot’s W&B, fuel planning, to & landing, CRM or risk management, or emergency procedures. If it’s reliable aircraft, service, or staffing it may be United or the sub. So your answer is to not hire the pilot? Is that to discipline them or to scare them strait?

Because who in Atlanta bought XJT?

Both airlines would have been better off separate. This management and the rest of the operation is in WAY over their heads.

LXJT would be out of business by now and we wouldn't be dealing with their shenanigans.

Our house or passenger satisfaction is a direct correlation to the abysmal express product and the flying it performs. When express touches over half the passengers we carry the burden falls on them quite often.

Really?? Sounds like flame bait to me. Every UA guy who commutes I run into loves us because we have 2 jumpseats and do whatever we can for jumpseaters. The problem stems from massive cuts. Not enough spare parts or pilots, constant reassignments, and UA eliminated our cabin cleaners so by the end of the day the back of the airplane looks like a Mexican bus...but it's our fault right?

Wow, you want to blame our pilot group for poor management? Sorry you've had some bad experiences but I've always had professional encounters with united crews and tried my hardest to get you guys to/from work bc I'd hope you'd do the same for our guys.
As far as hiring goes you guys are the only major without a wholly owned or any type of preferential hiring program so a lot of new hires come from xjt and SKW with a handful coming from other regionals. You're stuck with us, learn to love us.

PS Can I get a rec?

Guys, lets just all agree that this was some serious flamebait. All he's trying to do is tear us apart.

This guy is quite the comedian! So, you're main complaints are what exactly? That the flying can't be staffed? That MUST be the pilots' fault. I'm sure if you volunteered in your free time to pick up some XJT flying for pennies, they'd greatly appreciate your experience.

If you honestly think it's the RJ pilots' fault, you clearly haven't spent any appreciable time seeing what the scum of the operation, in your opinion, has to deal with.

Have you ever seen one baggage handler loading all the checked bags and gate-checked bags? I have. Have you ever had to call 6 times to get your lav serviced because it was overflowing from lack of attention on the three previous hub stops? I have. Have you ever had to beg for ice or commissary on a 30-minute turn and be completely ignored? I have. Have you ever had to wait to board because a gate agent was busy boarding another flight? I have. It must be a nice view from your 767 throne where support staff kiss your toes while we all fight over the scraps.

Can't you guys recognize flamebait/trolling when you read it? Jeez, we got more important stuff to complain about.
