Still torn. XJT or TSA? Any word on upgrading at xjt? What does reserve look like for new hires? Thanks for the help all.

If you have the mins and TSA doesn't do the hire, hire hire...then furlough (I've been warned), then the upgrade theoretically would be quicker at TSA if not for the 1000 hrs of 121 required in addition to their company mins (all intel from other guys). You would hold a line quicker at TSA from everything I have seen (smaller company, typically shorter staffed from what I have been told) than XJT.

I thought u were more interested in Silver. According to previous classes management told them they would upgrade in 3 months, so I think Silver is the better choice ;)!

I would love to work for ExpressJet but I'm still far from 1500. But they're hiring at 1000 with a bachelor's.

I'm currently at 890tt, 160 amel, 330xc, 110 turbine
...with a bachelor's in aviation.

Also i completed my ground and flight training under 141.

What are my chances of being offered an interview?

Zero if you don't apply.

I think you may be asking the wrong question. Upgrade is great but can change on a dime. So pick the better company overall.

But the Bachelor has to be in some kind of aviation major to qualify for the reduced mins (restricted ATP). Someone with a master's degree in Electrical Engineering can't apply until 1500. How logical is that?
