I know! Which is what surprised me about this call. Skywest has been the leading airline for United and Delta and now I'm certain they are the leading for Airways and American. But, at the same time, this does not come as a surprise, especially with the way Delta has been "trimming the fat" at other such as Endevour, or Pinnacle (whatever their name is), and equally how AA has done with Eagle. I don't know, its all numbers and speculation. But who knows.

What do you mean "whatever their name is"? You know exactly what our name is girbronie... it's Endeavor. You only said it your way to be an a-whole.

If you haven't figured it out yet.. NO ONE CARES!! We are too busy dealing with the problems created because of the 85%.

There's absolutely no reason for SkyWest pilots to take any cuts because the overwhelming majority of Inc's 2nd quarter profit is from SkyWest Airlines. They have also been cost effective to receive new flying such as the E175s for United.

Not only should you not take any cuts, you should get industry leading compensation and work rules because of the reasons you mentioned and more. No excuses or rationalizations for anything less!

Im sure it would be a concession. After all, XJT is union and SKW is not. XJT wouldnt want that anyways, because the union is there after all, to protect the pilots. SKW has all the power and all the control. They theoretically, are the fat kid with the magnifying glass over the ant hill...When I was there though, it was a great experience and a great company to work for and with. They always seemed to want to help you, but the longer you were there, the more they took advantage.

It's a concession. But I'm sure the union would agree to current Skywest compensation and work rules if the merged all three pilot groups. But guess who is against that.

At least they have some Name and a plan. What AE got?

Easy with the situation fellas! We are all pilots here...whats the plan ahead? Get to a major! I don't wish cuts on anyone. And I surely don't wish any decline of any of my brethren pilots. Some of us are out of work, and others are gainfully employed at regionals and majors just the same. We must all work together and support one another. I have not tried to insult anyone pilot or airline, and my apologies if I have. Support is what we need, and we must all support one another.

Can some one give an example of typical reserve schedules at express jet? I'm mainly looking to figure out how many times per month I would have to commute back and forth per month.

This is for the ERJ side: 11 or 12 days off per month depending on whether the month has 30 or 31 days. 4 or 5 days on followed by 2 or 3 off is typical. The most they will build is 5 on, but I usually try to trade into blocks of 6 on to avoid going back and forth too many times.
